Experience Manager product greyed out in Experience Cloud
After gaining access to your Experience Cloud sandbox, you may notice that the AEM product is greyed out even though you requested an AEM sandbox:
You don’t access to AEM through the Experience Cloud like you do the other Adobe product sandboxes. Instead, you will get an email from our provisioning team with a link to a standalone instance of AEM that you’ll run locally.
There’s no trial expiration
In the email that is received once provisioned, it says that you’re getting a trial version of AEM that expires in 45 days. This is because we have to use the same trial link generator that’s used for sending a link to prospective clients, so the email that you get is the same one they get. While the email says that your trial will expire, the software doesn’t actually stop working after 45 days. How long you’re able to use the software is only enforced by your contract or terms of use and as a partner, your contract is different from the clients’ contract. You can use the software indefinitely to develop your integration, and you don’t need to worry about your sandbox expiring before you’re done with development (refer to your partner contract for more details and the specific legal language).
Logging in for the first time
Many people try to use their Adobe ID to log into their AEM instance (since that’s what you’d use to log into the Experience Cloud) but that doesn’t work for AEM. When you log into AEM for the first time, the default credentials are username: admin and password: admin. You can change that to something more secure once you’ve logged in. See this link for more information.
