Application Verification
This article describes how partners may apply to have their integration (or what we in the Exchange program often call their “application”) verified by our team of experts:
…to distinguish high quality applications and reward partners who invest in them. Verification ensures that applications adhere to high quality standards and development best practices while creating a better customer experience.
The verification program is available at all partner levels for a fee. Premier and Accelerate partners may receive a free verification as part of their membership benefits. Check with your partner account manager for more information about the cost of verification under your membership plan.
Timeline
The process generally takes about a month and a half from start to finish. The Process section has more detail on the specific timelines and deadlines.
Limitations
Magento extensions: we do not currently offer verification beyond the Extension Quality Program (EQP) review that is required for all Magento extensions. We may offer an additional validation in the future, if it is determined that Magento customers find value from a level of review beyond EQP.
Adobe Audience Marketplace: we do not offer verification for integrations that source 3rd party data into the Marketplace. It is beyond the scope of our process to analyze the quality and value of 3rd party data sources.
AEM Translation: we can only offer verification for connectors that have been built using the AEM translation framework and support the documented translation workflows.
Prerequisites
Ensure the following before opening a ticket to begin the process described below.
- Your Application has a published listing on the Exchange site.
- Your Exchange listing must have thorough installation instructions documented for customers.
- Your Application is being successfully used by at least 3 customers. You must provide contact information for 3 customer references.
Process
- In the future, the verification process will be managed through the App Manager but for now you’ll need to open a ticket in Zendesk to initiate the process. This ticket should have the following:
- Ticket type: Application Verification
- Product: select the product that your app integrates with from the dropdown
- Ticket subject: Verification request
- Ticket body: Include the name and contact information of the primary contact for the project, and the URL to your app on the Exchange site
- Once your ticket is received, the Adobe Exchange team will confirm that your company has purchased App Verification and completed payment. Verification may be included in your contract (depending your partner level) or purchased separately. If payment has been received, you will move forward in the process. If you have not completed payment, but have completed the order form, this process will be paused until payment is received. If you have not yet purchased App Verification, your Partner Manager will reach out to you to complete an order form.
- After you file your ticket, you’ll be assigned to an Adobe reviewer. The reviewer will send you a form to fill out with the information about your integration required for verification.
- Please fill out the form and submit it (and any required files) within 10 to 15 business days. The Adobe reviewer will review the information within 10 to 15 business days and may request changes if necessary.
- If minor changes are required, please submit revisions within 5 business days and the reviewer will respond in 5 business days. If more major changes are required, work with the reviewer to establish a good timeline for the changes and review.
After the revision process is complete and all verification standards are met your app will be given a badge on the Exchange site.
Renewal
Verification will need to be renewed annually. Renewal fees will apply—check with your partner account manager for details.
To submit a renewal, open a ticket in Zendesk to initiate the process. This ticket should have the following (similar to the initial application verification ticket):
- Ticket type: Application Verification
- Product: select the product that your app integrates with from the dropdown
- Ticket subject: Verification renewal
- Ticket body: Include the name and contact information of the primary contact for the project, and the URL to your app on the Exchange site. If there have been no changes to your app in the past year, please mention it here as well.
If there have been no changes to your application in the last year, the reviewer will verify that nothing has broken and the review process will be conducted in 5 business days and you'll be notified of verification success. If your application has changed, you will be required to fill out a form describing the changes and the review process will proceed from there.
