Adobe Audience Manager (AAM) customers have the option to request Customer Data Feed (CDF) file exports to be enabled for their AAM instance. This allows customers to export event-level data from AAM to an Amazon S3 server for the customer’s use of this data outside of the AAM UI. You can learn more about this here: https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/audience-manager/user-guide/features/cdf-files.html. As stated in this documentation, 3rd party trait IDs may be included in these logs.
Our standard contract terms with AAM customers limit their use of Audience Marketplace third-party data provider data (“Marketplace Data”) to use in connection with AAM. Therefore, customers are responsible for making sure they have the appropriate permissions with their data providers to export any Marketplace Data from their instance of AAM.
Please note that CDF file export is different than Batch Outbound Data Transfers. Customers must similarly request permission from 3rd party data providers to include Marketplace Data in these data transfers. However, there is current functionality in AAM that allows a customer to exclude Marketplace Data from Batch Outbound Data Transfer(s) if the 3rd data provider does not give permission for such data transfer.
If you have questions about your rights as a data provider with respect to CDF file exports, please reach out to Technology Partner Program Support.
