Brands are increasingly adopting Adobe's Real-time CDP to give their marketing teams the ability to collect, normalize, and govern B2B and B2C data and unify it into real-time profiles that can be activated across any channel. AEP Destinations are how the marketers do the "activat(ing) across any channel". Once a marketer creates a valuable AEP segment they can easily use one of the many Destinations within the AEP Destinations catalog to send the customer identities in that segment to one of many activation partners, such as Google Customer Match. There the marketer can target the customers belonging to the AEP segment in advertising campaigns on Google's properties.
There are many activation plays in advertising and other important channels that can be greatly enhanced if powerful AEP segments can be applied. That is why we see the AEP Destinations catalog growing significantly in the next 1-2 years. Adobe provides a Destination SDK to our partner ecosystem which allows our partners to build, test and publish a Destination into the Destination catalog in a self-service way -- making it accessible to any brand using the Adobe Real-time CDP.
