We cannot overstate the value to brands in collecting, normalizing, and governing their B2B and B2C data and unifying it into real-time profiles. To make the collection and normalizing processes efficient for brands to implement and manage -- Adobe's Real-time CDP provides a rich catalog of AEP Sources. Some Sources in the catalog are for Adobe owned solutions, like Adobe Analytics - but most are non-Adobe Sources such as Google Ads, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow and PayPal to name just a few. Each Source connector in the catalog provides a simple setup wizard in the AEP UI consisting of 2 to 6 steps. Once configured, the connection will start the automated flow of data into the brand's AEP instance, hydrating the real-time customer profiles and enriching the AEP data lake. AEP also provides brands a set of monitoring views providing transparency into the data streams and batches being ingested and highlighting failures through alerts.
We know that many of our ISV and data partners in the Adobe Exchange ecosystem are stewards of rich customer data. To meet and expand on their customer experience initiatives, brands often need this data to be part of their AEP real-time customer profiles. As an Adobe Technology Partner you can make it a seamless experience for brands to onboard their valuable customer data from your system using an AEP Source. Adobe is making it a self-service process for our Technology Partners to configure, test and publish a Source into the AEP Sources catalog. This is done using the AEP Sources SDK which is in a closed BETA state at the time this article is being written. This Sources SDK is patterned to function is much the same way as the AEP Destinations SDK mentioned above. We fully expect to move the Sources SDK to general availability in Q2-Q3 this year (2022) - so stay tuned for more announcements on this exciting opportunity.
You must be an official Adobe Technology Partner at Adobe Technology Silver, Gold or Platinum tier to gain access to an AEP sandbox. If you are interested in developing a Source connector, please review this integration guide.
